Listen, if you’re looking for that polished, suburban 'cookie-cutter' vibe where every mailbox looks the same, Cypress Cove probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a place where the deer outnumber the cars and you can actually hear the wind through the massive Live Oaks, we need to talk. Located on the quieter, south side of Canyon Lake, Cypress Cove is what I call 'Classic Hill Country.' It’s a mix of folks who have been here for thirty years and young families looking to get into the Comal ISD without a million-dollar mortgage. Architecture-wise, it’s a total grab bag—you’ll see everything from 1970s lake cottages and cozy A-frames to brand-new modern farmhouses tucked into the limestone. What makes it special is the private access; residents get their own boat ramp into the Guadalupe River right where it feeds into the lake. It’s perfect for kayaking or launching the boat when the water levels are right. You’re about 10-15 minutes from the 'hub' at Startzville for a burger at Lucky’s or a quick grocery run, and while you feel miles away from the grind, you can still hit North San Antonio in under an hour. It’s unpretentious, it’s shaded, and it’s one of the last places around the lake where you can still find a true sense of seclusion under $400k.
